Your magnet is your subconscious mind.
Impelled by strong desire, it can bring you a reasonable amount of the good things of life.
But change it with a strong current of faith, of belief in its power
and there is no limit to the good things it will bring to you.
I used to do a great bit of traveling and training about parenting, personality and relationships. I would always ask my audiences to write down on a piece of paper one word that represented what they wanted most for their children?
Without fail, ninety percent of parents would write down the word happiness. Everyone values happiness so much that it is one of the greatest gifts they wish they could bestow on those they love. But what is happiness? How do we achieve happiness? Is happiness the same thing as JOY?
Your thoughts: ____________________________________________________________________
____________________________________________________________________________________
What if you knew that simply by helping those you love, those around you, those who look up to you, elevate the quality of their thoughts, you could help them find and experience the happiness you long for them to have? Would you help them challenge their negative thoughts and ask them to help you challenge yours?
YOU CHANGE YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t;
If you’d like to win, but you think you can’t it’s almost a cinch you won’t;
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost,
for out in the world you’ll find success begins with a fellow’s will
—It’s all in your state of mind.
For many a race is lost ere even a race is run,
and man a coward fails ere even his work’s begun.
Think big, and your deeds will grow.
Think small and you fall behind, think that you can, and you will;
—It’s all in your state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise;
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before you can ever win a prize.
Life’s battle doesn’t always go to the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later, the man who wins
is the fellow who thinks he can.
Unless you are willing to take responsibility for what you think, you insure that you will never fulfill your heart’s desire. No one has ever improved by dwelling on what is wrong. No one will attain health by thinking of disease. No one will attain peace by spinning in confusion. To paraphrase Pascal, “Our achievements today are but the sum of our thoughts of yesterday.”
Exercise: Set a timer and challenge yourself to think only thoughts of fun, health, peace, prosperity and success for 5 minutes. Do this everyday until you can build up to 15 minutes.
